Research Studies at Humphreys

HDC is currently involved in four research studies for both type 1 and type 2 diabetes. Study participants often receive free testing supplies and medications while enrolled in a study. To learn more about the studies or if you qualify, email us at research@hdiabetescenter.org.

Research at HDC

As a centralized diabetes center serving major medical centers and physicians in rural areas, HDC is able to enroll significant numbers of patients in research.

HDC’s participation in research contributes to global efforts to find better treatments and ultimately a cure for diabetes. Individuals also benefit from participation, often receiving free supplies, medications, education and exams while contributing to medical advances.

HDC is also a center for the TrialNet Natural History study. TrialNet explores the epidemiology, natural history and risk factors for Type 1 Diabetes. Subjects who are eligible for TrialNet must have a first degree relative with Type 1 Diabetes and be under 45 years old or have a second or third degree relative with Type 1 Diabetes and be under 20 years old.

We are always planning new studies. New studies may include seasonal flu vaccines, Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes treatments, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and many others.
Let us know if you’d like to be contacted when one of our research studies begins.
